One current picture, and the hours back to act on it.

We build the data foundation, the governance underneath it, and the dashboards on top, so leadership decides on one number everyone trusts instead of three reports that disagree. The unglamorous part is the plumbing, and we treat it as the work that matters most.

Three reports, three numbers

Across the firms we work with, we see the same pattern. The same question comes back with three different answers depending on which export someone pulled, the close of the month turns into a scramble to assemble the deck by hand, and because nobody quite trusts the figure, nobody acts on it. The meeting becomes an argument about the numbers instead of a decision about the business.

The reporting hours are the visible cost. The bigger one is the decision made late, or made on a figure that turned out to be wrong. A dashboard that looks finished but sits on ungoverned data is worse than no dashboard at all, because people act on it. The fix is not a prettier chart. It is the foundation under it: where each number comes from, how fresh it is, and who is accountable for it.

That foundation is data engineering and analytics done properly. Get the architecture and the governance right first, and the view on top finally means the same thing in every room. Skip it, and you have spent money making a wrong number easier to read.

What we build

Data engineering and analytics is more than a dashboard. Each piece below names the work and lands on what changes for you: a decision made sooner, and the hours people spend assembling decks by hand handed back to them.

Data architecture

A single, documented model so a number means the same thing everywhere. One definition of revenue, one of a customer, one of done, designed once and shared across the business.

Governance and lineage, first-class

Every figure traceable to its source, so the answer to “where did this come from” takes a second, not a meeting. We design it in from the start, not patch it on later.

Pipelines that stay fresh

Live integrations across the systems you already run, refreshed on a schedule you can count on, so the number in the Monday meeting is current instead of a week behind.

Dashboards people actually use

The view leadership opens to decide, built in Power BI, not the report nobody opens. We build for the decision, then make it the easiest place to find the answer.

The hours handed back

The work that used to disappear into building reports by hand goes away. Your people spend that time on the business instead of on the spreadsheet.

Built to govern, built to decide

Getting the foundation right before the dashboard is a discipline with a long lineage, the dimensional and warehouse thinking of Kimball and Inmon, and it exists to serve one thing: govern the assets so you can decide better.

How we work

How engagement starts

A calm, practical start. We find the decisions that matter before we touch the plumbing, and the foundation is yours to keep.

01

Find the decisions that matter

We start with the calls you make on a recurring basis and the questions you cannot answer with confidence today, not with a list of every table you own.

02

Map the sources behind them

We trace each number back to the systems that hold it, so we know exactly what feeds the view and where the gaps and the disagreements actually start.

03

Build the pipeline and the governance

We stand up the integrations and the data model, with lineage and accountability built in, so the foundation is sound before anything renders on a screen.

04

Deliver and keep it fresh

We deliver the view, refresh it on a schedule you can count on, and transfer the knowledge so your team can run and extend it. We can keep watching it, but you are not locked in.

Questions

Common questions

Straight answers to what owners and finance leaders ask before they start.

Is our data clean enough to start?
Almost certainly, and you do not need to clean it first. Messy data is the normal starting point, not a disqualifier. We map what you have, surface where the disagreements come from, and fix them as part of building the foundation rather than asking you to sort it out beforehand.
Who owns the dashboards once they are built?
You do. We build on tools you can run, document the model and the lineage, and transfer the knowledge so your team can use and extend the work. We are glad to keep watching it in production, but you are never locked in to us.
How fresh is the data?
As fresh as the decision needs. We build live integrations that refresh on a schedule you can count on, so the number in the Monday meeting is current instead of a week behind. Some views update through the day, some nightly. We set the cadence to the decision, not to the limits of the plumbing.
Power BI, or another tool?
We build dashboards in Power BI by default because it fits the Microsoft stack most Indiana businesses already run and it keeps licensing and skills in one place. The foundation matters more than the front end, so a governed data model can feed Power BI today and another tool later without rebuilding the plumbing.

Which number can you not trust yet?

Tell us the figure that turns the meeting into an argument, or the report that eats the hours. We will give you a straight read on the foundation underneath it and where to start.
